Gucci and Galeries Lafayette are pleased to announce a special collaboration that will come to life on August 1st with the unveiling of all fourteen windows of the department store overlooking Boulevard Haussman customized by Gucci, as well as the opening of a pop-up store located at the Mogador entrance.
The project with Galeries Lafayette is part of Gucci’s ongoing strategy to build unique and exciting collaborations with selected specialty stores, being the ideal venues for the brand’s new vision and collections.
For three weeks only, the world of Gucci will pay tribute to one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Paris, in its most iconic department store.
The windows dedicated to product will feature all the iconographic symbols organically existing in Alessandro Michele’s imaginative universe and immediately reminiscent of his collections: flamingos, butterflies, bees, ants and ladybugs, all harmoniously integrated within the overall environment as if they were in their natural habitat. Men’s and women’s installations are respectively characterized by a peacock green and a baby pink lacquered boiserie with gold studs on the panels. In addition, tone on tone neon details embellish the setup which features either the Gucci logo or the distinctive sentence «L’Aveugle par Amour».
Additional windows will feature the Fall Winter 2016-2017 advertising campaign video and a selection of the men’s and women’s advertising visuals.
The pop-up store, which will also last three weeks, is a pink cocoon embellished with neons and herons. The display includes exclusive versions of the Dionysus handbag, a Marmont backpack and Princetown loafers. All items feature a unique tag and will only be sold at Galeries Lafayette.
Lastly, a pop up store featuring products from Gucci Timepieces & Jewelry, including the latest novelties from «Le Marché des Merveilles» collection, will be set-up on the first floor of the department store.
